Cause of massive Mass. fire still uknown

Structural engineers say the burned hotel building will likely be demolished

LEOMINSTER, Mass. — Fire officials believe a raging six-alarm fire that destroyed the former Columbia Hotel building Saturday night had an accidental cause.

"It doesn't seem to be suspicious right now," Deputy Fire Chief Scott Cordio said yesterday.
