CUMBERLAND, Md. — A spokesman for the Maryland state fire marshal's office says two men facing arson charges in Cumberland are both volunteer firefighters.
Kevin Leslie VanMeter and Zachary Canaan Plummer are charged with arson and malicious burning, and investigators say they're looking into whether the men were involved in at least three other intentionally-set fires at other vacant dwellings in the city.
The two men each posted bond and have been granted pretrial release. Online court records don't list a lawyer for either man.
