Volunteer firefighter killed in Monticello, N.Y.

A Monticello man was killed yesterday afternoon when his pickup truck slammed into a bridge abutment on Route 17 in Monticello.

Police said Edward Wong’s truck swerved off the roadway and crashed into the overpass.

He was taken to Catskill Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
