TOLEDO, Ohio — Investigators in Ohio say a woman and three children found dead in a rental home without electricity likely died of carbon monoxide poisoning.
Coroner's investigator Steve Kahle said the family had been using a generator to power a space heater inside their Toledo home. He said they were probably overcome in their sleep; they were found Wednesday morning on the first floor.
A neighbor said the woman and the three school-aged children had moved into the rental home within the last few weeks.
