Job Description
Morgan County Emergency Medical Services (MCEMS) has the following position available: Three job openings for full-time Paramedics. Part-time EMT-IV and Paramedics also needed. The jobs will begin as soon as possible for those hired and will close upon filling. This position works 24 hours on-duty / 48 hours off-duty. This position requires the ability to perform the national DOT approved curriculum skills and have the national DOT approved curriculum knowledge for a paramedic. Additional training and certification(s) may be required as noted. Heavy lifting and all weather and environmental conditions may occur in this job. All body positions and functions may be necessary to perform this job.

Job Requirements
  • Age 21
  • Education EMT-P Certification
  • Experience 1 Year Full-Time Field Experience as a Paramedic
  • Additional Requirement :
    Current physical. Capability to have physician sign State of TN EMS Physical Examination Form. Valid drivers license with an F (for hire) endorsement. Good driving history required. No felony convictions permissible upon hire or after hire. Valid TN. Paramedic license, AHA ACLS, PEPP or AHA PALS, PHTLS or Adult & Pediatric BTLS. Current AHA CPR-C or ARC CPR for the Professional Rescuer. 1 year full-time experience in the field as a Paramedic or EMT-IV. National Registry is preferred. Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug and or alcohol testing prior to and during employment. Hepatitis B Vaccinations may be necessary, TB Skin Tests are regularly performed.
