Job Description
|
| Under general supervision, the Fire Captain operates and maintains fire apparatus and fire fighting and rescue equipment as well as protects life and property by performing firefighting, emergency aid, hazardous materials and fire prevention drills. Responsibilities include supervision of professional and volunteer firefighters both during the work day and at emergency scenes.

| MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Possess California State Fire Marshal FFI certificate.
* Possess a valid Class B Firefighter restricted license or higher California Drivers License at time of appointment.
* Current Nor Cal EMS First Responder or higher at time of appointment.
* Three years paid experience and minimum one year company officer or one year Engineer experience with Shasta Lake Fire Protection District
* High School diploma or GED equivalent
* Must reside within twenty minutes travel time of the main station at 4126 Ashby Ct, Shasta Lake, obeying all traffic laws.
