FIRE PREVENTION INSPECTOR
$57,544 - $81,238/ annually DOQ
We are seeking an exceptional candidate to perform a variety of tasks including inspections and enforcement of adopted and local fire prevention codes and related ordinances. You’ll also perform final functional tests and inspections on fire protection systems and equipment, while conducting fire origin and cause investigations. Educating the general public in the area of fire prevention is also an important function of this outstanding opportunity. Position requires an Associate’s degree in Fire Science or a closely related field such as Construction, Architecture, Physical Sciences or Engineering, plus one (1) experience in commercial building inspections or fire prevention OR three (3) years paid, full time experience in commercial building inspections or fire prevention/protection in design, evaluation, installation, inspections and/or plan review or combination thereof, OR an Associate degree in Fire Science or closely related field such as Construction, Architecture, Physical Sciences or Engineering, plus three (3) experience in fire suppression performing company fire prevention inspections OR a Bachelor’s degree in Fire Science or a closely related field such as Construction, Architecture, Physical Sciences or Engineering.
