Job Description
|
| This is skilled Firefighting work combating and preventing fires as well as providing emergency medical services. Work also includes routine maintenance of fire department equipment, apparatus and quarters. Employees of this class perform hazardous tasks under emergency conditions which may require strenuous exertion under such conditions as fire, heat smoke and cramped surroundings.

Job Requirements

Age 21Education H.S. Diploma or Equivalent
Additional Requirement :
High School graduate or possess a GED
Be a citizen of the United States
Be of good moral character
Successful completion of the following will also be required
Written examination
Physical agility exam
Background exam
Oral interview
Psychological testing
Polygraph examination
Drug Screening
Medical exam
Successful completion of State Certified Fire-fighter II course
Successful completion of State Certified EMT-B and State Certified Paramedic training
