Job Description
|
| The Town of West Yellowstone is filling a vacancy for a regular, full-time Firefighter/EMT Basic. This position is responsible for assisting with professional, technical, and administrative tasks related to the daily operation of the West Yellowstone Fire Department. The position provides emergency response and fire suppression service. Firefighter-EMT positions are subject to rotating shifts within a 48/96 schedule (48 hours on, 96 hours off). Applicants must meet the qualifications for firefighters detailed in Montana Code Annotated 7-33-4107.
Wage: $12.79 per hour. There are 2756 hours of regular time and 156 hour of scheduled overtime per year. Newly hired employees will serve a six month probationary period at a pay rate of $1.00 less per hour ($11.79). Firefighters are represented by the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) local 4432
Benefits include: Vacation, Sick Leave, Contributory Health and Dental Insurance and Retirement Plan (FURS).
