Jamie Thompson oversees the day-to-day operations of FireRescue1, and produces original news stories exclusive to the site and liaises with its team of columnists on articles.
He is a senior qualified journalist from the U.K., where he worked as deputy chief reporter and fire reporter on a daily regional paper in the south of England for five years.
Mr. Thompson then joined BBC News Online in England as a multimedia journalist, writing content for the site and working alongside TV and radio crews on stories.
Before moving to the United States, he spent one year as a reporter/copy editor in Beijing and Shanghai for China Daily, the country’s only national English language newspaper.
