NOVATO, Calif. — Novato firefighters worked to free the driver of a vehicle that crashed on San Marin Drive early Sunday morning.

Police and firefighters arrived at the crash, in the 400 block of San Marin Drive, at about 2:12 a.m. to find a rolled-over vehicle with two people trapped inside.

Firefighters extricated both, transporting the driver, a 19-year-old male, to Marin General Hospital with life-threatening head injuries. The passenger had received only minor injuries, and was treated and released at the scene.

The cause of the crash was still under investigation. Novato police are seeking witnesses to the crash; anyone with information can call the department at 897-4361.
