By FireRescue1 Staff

HOUSTON — A driver has died after driving into a Houston fire truck that was returning from a call.

The unidentified 21-year-old motorist reportedly made no attempt to slow down before hitting the apparatus early Sunday morning, according to KWTX.

Police said the Houston Fire Department pumper truck was backing into the station after responding to a call.

The driver died at the scene.

None of the firefighters in the truck were injured.
