Investigators looking for cause of massive church fire

There were no people in the church at the time of the fire; no firefighters were hurt

MILLINGTON, Tenn. — Fire investigators are working to figure out what sparked a massive fire that heavily damaged a Millington church early Wednesday morning.

The fire broke out at St. William Catholic Church on Easley St. around 12:30 a.m. Shelby County and Millington firefighters responded to the fire, which began in the back of the building — where the church’s offices and some classrooms are located.
