Video: Woman berates firefighters for being "slow as hell"

A woman can be heard in the video complaining about how crews are responding to a house fire

By FireRescue1 Staff

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Video shows firefighters battling a house blaze, while a woman is heard the entire time complaining crews are moving too slow.

Throughout the first half of the video, the woman, a neighbor repeatedly tells other bystanders that the firefighters are "too slow. They're too slow. …These guys right here don't even have their gear on. They're slow."

About half way through the video, the woman changes her tune when she realizes the flames are extinguished and says "That was quick. It's gone already."

According to neighbors heard in the video, no one was home during the fire.

Fire service blogger Rhett Fleitz found the video.

Sandy Anders Sandy Anders Thursday, December 27, 2012 11:36:23 AM At least they are actually doing something instead of standing way the heck back and complaining about other people! Got to LOVE people who think they know what they are talking about when they CLEARLY don't know their butts from a hole in the ground!
Freddie Hatcher Freddie Hatcher Thursday, December 27, 2012 12:03:15 PM I wish the LDH would have busted and soaked her ass.......
Jim Carley Jim Carley Thursday, December 27, 2012 12:07:12 PM This bitch needs to punch in the head! Instead of standing there gawking and complaining her ass should have been at home INSIDE minding her own business. Plus firefighters are taught to control adrenaline and not rush into a blaze. Wished it had been this womans home and it burnt to the ground people like her piss me off. Also it seems to ne she didn't know the neighbors for crap and she lived by them!

Chris James Chris James Thursday, December 27, 2012 2:44:53 PM that's the problem right there stupid bystanders they should be banned from all fire scenes and if they come up there they should get thrown in jail.
Michael Tallman Michael Tallman Thursday, December 27, 2012 3:44:14 PM Jim, exactly what I was about to say. And let me guess, more than likely this is either a vol or combo dept, so if she wants things to go faster, then SHE should join and get a better respect for what goes on.
Michael Mouton Michael Mouton Thursday, December 27, 2012 5:46:15 PM Like to see her put some gear on and join in the fight. If you don't know what is happening then just shut up!

Raymond Scott Raymond Scott Friday, December 28, 2012 5:33:41 PM It's called ignorance...and the general public is ignorant of what fire fighting is all about. Most people think it's what you see on television shows and movies; and that's the farthest thing from the truth.
Max Hengst Max Hengst Wednesday, January 02, 2013 6:34:59 PM She's too slow!
Max Hengst Max Hengst Wednesday, January 02, 2013 6:36:29 PM No clue what so ever. Like to see her run in all of that gear. These are the same drones that think CSI can solve any crime in one hour on television!
Dan Bennis Dan Bennis Wednesday, January 02, 2013 6:42:30 PM and yet this FD would help her as well.
