Video: Firefighter injured at structure fire

The cause of the fire is under investigation, but does not appear to be suspicious


PITTSFIELD, Mass. – One firefighter has been sent to the hospital after breaks out at Pittsfield’s DPW headquarters.

Firefighters were called to the building on West Housatonic Street around 8:45 Monday morning and quickly grew to two alarms.

Mutual aid was called in from Lenox and Dalton’s Fire Departments to assist fight in fighting the fire, and off-duty Pittsfield firefighters were called back in to help. The fire has since been knocked down, but crew remain on-scene chasing hot spots and checking for any other extension of the fire.
