The woman rushed back into the burning house to rescue her grandchildren
GLOUCESTER, Va. — A Virginia grandmother, who went back into a burning house Wednesday to save three grandchildren, ages 7 to 6 months, died in the blaze with them.
Firefighters said they arrived at the Gloucester County house about 2:30 a.m., only to learn that one of three adults who had escaped the burning house had gone back to get the children and was still inside, The (Norfolk) Virginian-Pilot reported.
