BURLINGTON, Wis. — A massive fire at a Burlington frozen foods manufacturing company has been upgraded to a six-alarm blaze, authorities said shortly before 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Fire crews from stations throughout a multi-county area are responding to the fire at Echo Lake Farm Produce, 33102 S. Honey Lake Road in Burlington, public safety officials said. The fire was dispatched shortly after 6 p.m. Wednesday and throughout the evening rapidly progressed to a five-alarm blaze and then climbed to a six-alarm fire.
Residents in some of the surrounding homes are being evacuated.
