EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Fast moving flames destroyed a boarding house in East Providence.
The fire chief tells Eyewitness News the fire started on one of the lower levels of the building, and then quickly spread up through the roof.
At one point, three firefighters became trapped on the third floor. However, crews managed to get an aerial ladder to a nearby window so the men could escape. No firefighters were hurt battling the blaze, and officials say it appears everyone living in the home made it out safely.
