Vol. firefighter accused of stealing from dept.

The firefighter allegedly stole more than $37,000

BELLMAWR, N.J. — A volunteer firefighter in Bellmawr, Camden County is facing charges after he was accused of committing crimes against his own department.

According to police, 22-year-old Chad Jurman is charged with theft, forgery and official misconduct.

Bellmawr Police say Jurman admitted to authorities on Friday that he stole funds from the Bellmawr Park Volunteer Fire Company, but he told CBS3 Eyewitness News he had no comment. Police say Jurman was the treasurer at the department.
