PITTSBURGH, Pa. — Video shows Pa. firefighters performing their own rendition of the viral South Korean hit "Gangnam Style" by PSY.
The South Baldwin Volunteer Fire Company firefighters reenact the hit video in full gear with their own firefighting tweaks, dancing atop their firehouse and fire truck, performing a fake car extrication and spraying their fire hoses.
The firefighters made the video in honor of Fire Safety Month, reminding viewers to be mindful of cleaning chimneys and furnaces and checking smoke alarm batteries.

Theo Kurowski-BelleauTuesday, October 16, 2012 11:32:28 AMlove it, this should be on America's Got Talent. Good job and stay safe brothers.
Kurtis CookTuesday, October 16, 2012 11:34:28 AMPretty good!
Sue WhyattTuesday, October 16, 2012 11:36:13 AMAbsolutely brilliant lads, love it. Wonder if I can get station interested in doing this.
Steve DeanTuesday, October 16, 2012 11:40:39 AMcan you say "volunteers?"
Patricia CooksonTuesday, October 16, 2012 11:43:12 AMlmfao! Too Funny! <3 you guys!
Betty St.yvesTuesday, October 16, 2012 12:00:29 PMawesome...loved it....
Jason JohnsonTuesday, October 16, 2012 12:07:44 PMMy fire Rescue class is working on this dannce, as well but excluding any of the sexually provocative dancing. I think this is very well done but steps over a lot of boundries. The dances they chose to do now reflect bad on the rest of us.
Chad HaagTuesday, October 16, 2012 12:14:47 PMSweeet!
Mike WhitselTuesday, October 16, 2012 2:04:51 PMThis was a funny video.
Dustin RoderTuesday, October 16, 2012 2:39:49 PM<----Spoiler alert: that's me sitting on a couch after a fire...and I am a full time FF/EMT.
Austin BrakeTuesday, October 16, 2012 2:42:39 PMVery inappropriate...paid or volunteer does't matter.
Terry HandelTuesday, October 16, 2012 4:11:43 PMI bet a paid Department would have had disciplinary actions for this video...... *shakes head*
Terry HandelTuesday, October 16, 2012 4:12:04 PMOh, and this video was just awesome!
Kim StrnisteTuesday, October 16, 2012 4:12:32 PMAwesome, still lmao
Terry HandelTuesday, October 16, 2012 4:13:12 PMYou must be one of those guys with no sense of humor and always reprimanding your subordinates if they're not acting like mindless automatons.
Terry HandelTuesday, October 16, 2012 4:15:01 PMAnd another reason why society needs a better sense of humor. We're too dang sensitive these days... sad really.
Raymond PorterTuesday, October 16, 2012 4:34:26 PMLeave it to the fire fighters to come up with a new and better method each year to get the Fire Prevention Week message out to the public. These guys should be commended, and it is FUNNY AS HELL! Of course I only had 25 years as Chief of Department to form this opinion.
Jollene Alexander PechinTuesday, October 16, 2012 4:57:13 PMI thought it was awesome! I would loved one of my neighboring companys to do something like this!
Austin BrakeTuesday, October 16, 2012 8:43:13 PMNot upholding a professional, positive image of one's dept and the fire service is inappropriate. I'm all for having fun but this should have been kept internal.
Steve DeanTuesday, October 16, 2012 9:34:16 PMwhat city
Robin WronskiTuesday, October 16, 2012 10:04:01 PMCan you say awesome? C'mon...it was very creative and had me laughing. :)
I don't live anywhere near them, but I am donating to their house! They get an A+ from me. :)
Dustin RoderWednesday, October 17, 2012 5:06:55 AMMount Horeb Wisconsin.
Jason JonesWednesday, October 17, 2012 5:57:45 AMWell,,,, I guess the production was pretty good, way to many homo overtones. You can see the volys budgets have not been hit like most the country's paid depts. I give it a 8.
Steve DeanWednesday, October 17, 2012 8:13:05 AMlol
Alex PerezWednesday, October 17, 2012 12:34:26 PMMade my day.
Terry HandelWednesday, October 17, 2012 1:02:51 PMRegardless of who does what, there's always going to be some one saying everything a dept does is a bad image anyhow. What's the difference anymore. Have fun, live life... stop being a robot. Hell, Disney's shows are more inappropriate these days than what they just did..... seriously.
Kerri PringWednesday, October 17, 2012 1:44:34 PMAwesome video! Certainly getting the message world wide...im from New Zealand and have sent it to all my mates! Well done boys, I don't think you have acted unprofessionally at all, it's good to see people in the Fire Service can still have a bit of fun in this PC gone mad world! :-)
Ray PrattWednesday, October 17, 2012 2:02:22 PMGreetings from Australia. Well done guys. Lots of funny talent.
Sean IrrWednesday, October 17, 2012 5:14:36 PMFunny, at least it was a group effort!
Mel MaguireWednesday, October 17, 2012 6:59:32 PMIt was only a matter of time before some fire crew somewhere did this. I wouldn't use my city's equipment for it and I certainly wouldn't have posted it online, but it's no big surprise that it was done. It's cute.
Torched MedicWednesday, October 17, 2012 7:08:58 PMI thought this was hilarious. Gotta have some fun, blow off some steam and really, its not hurting anyone or professionally damaging. Take is as the fun it is. I LOVED it!

Matthew QuinnThursday, October 18, 2012 4:04:29 AMSo you are going to begrudge Mr. Roder for having a job? He can't have an opinion that matters because he is from a small town? Please Steve go back to your hole.
Edward RearickThursday, October 18, 2012 5:34:59 AMLoved it. Keep up the good work of spreading the fire safety message. Getting the attention of all ages means coming up with innovative ideas. This is one of them. Been doing this for 16 years and this is one of the best ways I have seen to get the attention of the younger crowd.
Carolyn PenneyThursday, October 18, 2012 1:10:11 PMAbsolutely awesome, I loved it! What's better than a man in uniform? A fireman in half a uniform....LOL.
Dustin RoderThursday, October 18, 2012 2:02:47 PMThank you Mr. Quinn. I like many others I know have the privilege and honor of saying that I am both volley and paid...the job has never and will never be about the paycheck. The video was for a good cause, everyone, please have a sense of humor and enjoy it.
Matthew QuinnThursday, October 18, 2012 2:41:33 PMYou know, it's funny how there are people out there who think they are better than the world. I have met brothers from the FDNY, had very interesting converstaions with them. The biggest thing I got out of the converstaions is the statement that " [I was] no different then [them], just that we had different challenges facing us."
Where he could count on one hand how many times he had drafted, and I not ever having used a high rise pack. We're all the same, we just have different challenges.
Jason BiedaFriday, October 19, 2012 9:50:55 PMOk Austin Brake you need to lighten up, there's worse out there than this. At least they weren't shooting this video makin racial slurs and every other word was a one of our favorite four letter words. GET OVER IT, its not your department.
Jason BiedaFriday, October 19, 2012 9:52:14 PM"Gangnam Style"
Troy NelsenSaturday, October 20, 2012 9:48:30 AMWow, the responses on here...."volunteers"....."Very inappropriate"......you need to call someone and have them help dig the stick out of your ass.

Lane AlderferSunday, October 21, 2012 8:33:57 PMwow you guys! that was funny, but I love how you have the fire prevention tips at the end. it definitely catches attention of the public and gives safety instructions in the event of an emergency. I wish my fire company would be that spirited. sometimes I am the only one dancing in my bunker gear!

Jessica C YoungTuesday, October 23, 2012 7:06:19 PMalright alright everyone knows I hate the song "Gangnam Style" but I have to admit the guys did a good job putting this together. It is definitely funny if you can pick up on the ff additions and ff humor. Good job South Baldwin Vol FD.
Ditzy DispatcherWednesday, October 24, 2012 8:57:08 AMOMG I loved it! Lots of fun and I freely admit the guy that was lifting weights could curl me ANYDAY!
Mat MyattThursday, October 25, 2012 1:17:48 PMGood job to these guys, a very fun and unique way to raise awareness and get a good message across for Fire Safety Month. Professionalism comes in all shapes and sizes, these guys maintained a positive message and representation of themselves and their department. That's just my take on it.
Jennifer SieRackiThursday, October 25, 2012 3:25:54 PMthis video should win something! channel 95.5 in detroit, michigan had a contest for the best gangnam style video (prize was 1,000 and a new I phone 5), you guys would of totally won!

Jerry MontgomeryWednesday, October 31, 2012 11:47:45 PMThis video has done wonderfully positive things for the fire service in the eyes of the young men and women who will follow in our footsteps. THANK YOU.
John R EetenThursday, November 01, 2012 10:03:44 PMFire Prevention and Life Safety is our number one mission! With that said, if this helps to get the message out, and saves a life, this type of presentation works for me! Paid or Vollie, these Brothers have done the job, identified a way to get the message across by grabbing attention usig something popular, thus grabbing the youth, once again, probably saving a few lives in the process.
James JacobsFriday, November 02, 2012 6:56:45 AMLets see they claim they are 501c, the following is a list that costs money: class a foam, gas for both vehicles, Water to refill tank, equipment use, not to mention what if there had been an emergency. the town they protect should look into their dealings.
