January 2, 2007: The nomination period is now open for the annual Safety, Health and Survival Section Awards. These awards recognize both organizations and individuals of organizations (of any size or composition) that have made a significant contribution to the overall environment of health and safety in their organizations and/or the fire service. Awards will be presented at Fire-Rescue International 2007 in the following categories:
Safety Officer of the Year (co-sponsored by the Fire Department Safety Officers Association)
Fire Service Executive Safety Award
Fire Service Organization Safety Award
IAFC Safety Performance Award
Deadline for submitting nominations is March 31, 2007.
