Final Version of Uniform Emergency Volunteer Health Practitioners Act Announced

The final version of the Uniform Emergency Volunteer Health Practitioners Act, as drafted by the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform States Laws (NCCUSL), was approved and recommended for enactment by all states at the NCCUSL's 2007 annual conference. A primary purpose of this act is to establish a robust and redundant system to quickly and efficiently facilitate the deployment and use of licensed practitioners to provide health and veterinary services in response to declared emergencies.
