Full Time, Hands-On Fire Chief
To Lead Volunteer Department
Wilmington wants dynamic Fire Chief knowledgeable in fire and emergency response
in New England-type weather. 10 year education/experience with at least 5 years captain or higher.
Proven skills in all aspects of Fire Chief responsibilities.
Ability to plan and follow through a must - balance needs/vision with financial and people resources.
Coverage for 2200 full time residents, over 2300 buildings
and is a Mount Snow Ski Resort tourist destination.
Fire Department: roster of 40 officers and fire fighters, 4 vehicles
and negotiated mutual aid agreements with surrounding towns.
Fire Chief position initiated in 1980’s.
