Fortified Holdings Announces $2.28 Million NOMAD Systems Procurement by Homeland Security Program

ALEXANDRIA, VA - Fortified Holdings Corp. (OTCBB: FFDH) ("Fortified" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, Fortified DataCom (www.fortifieddatacom.com) has been awarded a purchase order under the Department of Homeland Securities initiative and FEMA program: Commercial Equipment Direct Assistance Program ("CEDAP").

CEDAP complements the FEMA National Preparedness Directorate's other major grants programs to enhance regional response capabilities, mutual aid, and interoperable communications by providing technology and equipment, together with training and technical assistance required to operate that equipment, to public safety agencies in smaller jurisdictions and certain metropolitan areas.

CEDAP provides equipment, equipment training, and equipment technical assistance valued at approximately $33.7 million (FY 2007) to first responder organizations across the Nation. This competitive program is a direct assistance program which provides the equipment and technical assistance directly to the selected jurisdictions. Additional program information is available from the Department of Homeland Security. http://www.dhs.gov/xnews/releases/pr_1198172954591.shtm

The procurement awards a 2-year contract with an estimated total value of just over $2.2M. Fortified will provide approximately 40 NOMAD C4XSB Incident Command Platform deployable command & control systems per year to a total of 80 units, further expanding the current installed base of NOMAD platforms in the US. Each NOMAD system will include CoBRA emergency response decision support software (www.defensegroupinc.com/cobra) manufactured by Defense Group, Inc., with additional resource management capability provided by Xentrak software, a product of MSPX, Inc. (www.mspx.com).

Neil Cohen, Director of Business Development for Defense Group Inc., stated, "CoBRA software is proud to be part of the Fortified NOMAD offering. It was truly a team effort to put together a total solution that enhances first responder capabilities, including pre-planning, response, collaboration, resource allocation and after action reporting. First responders serving in rural or smaller jurisdictions will find the NOMAD integrated system a superior and rugged package for crisis incident command. The CoBRA software provides the responder quick access to a wealth of resources by serving as a central repository of CBRNE data and interactive tools and is easily customized to include local procedures and checklists, making the integrated NOMAD platform a powerful tool for federal, state, local and military first responders."

"In accordance with NIMS, resource typing, consumable and returnable resources, including volunteers and donations, can be itemized and tracked within the Xentrak software, thereby providing additional value across a jurisdiction from the CEDAP grant funds," said Barbara Allen, Director of Business Development for MSPX, Inc. "Xentrak software further extends the power of NOMAD and CoBRA by providing data availability and information sharing when multiple NOMAD platforms function together."

The CoBRA and Xentrak software both support National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Incident Command Structure (ICS) Standards.

Steve Cooper, President of Fortified, commented that, "This sale represents the culmination of months of dedicated effort by all our team members on behalf of emergency responders at the local level. It also recognizes our commitment to quality and the application of knowledge gleaned from our participation in numerous joint exercises and actual deployments. We are very pleased to participate with CEDAP to enhance the capability of local communities and first responders across the nation."

With this CEDAP award, many smaller communities and organization will soon have a chance to participate at a level of proficiency already used by FEMA, DHS, the US Air Force, NORTHCOM's Joint Task Force for Civil Support, the City of New Orleans and others currently deploying Fortified's NOMAD systems.
