APCO Supports Renomination of Chairman Martin

WASHINGTON — The Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International today announced its support of the White House's renomination of Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Kevin Martin for another term. 

"APCO International is very pleased to learn that President Bush has nominated Chairman Martin for a second five-year term," APCO International President Wanda McCarley said. "Chairman Martin has been a champion for public safety and a tireless advocate for the communications needs of our nation's first responders."

The renomination was announced yesterday. Martin's current term expires in June.
