EFJohnson Enhances Client-Server Product to Control Encryption on Project 25 Compliant Radios
IRVING, Tex. – EFJ, Inc. (NASDAQ: EFJI) announced today that its EFJohnson subsidiary has introduced an enhanced version of its Key Management Facility (KMF), a client-server software solution for controlling the encryption keys on Project 25 compliant radios. This new version, named KMF II, is an integral component of the company's Conventional IP25™ infrastructure system.

Significant features of KMF II include: over-the-air rekeying, which encrypts and sends the encryption keys to subscriber radios over the air without the keys being disclosed; creating and deleting encryption keys; removing keys from a radio should it become lost or stolen; and a graphical user interface, which makes managing encryption keys quick and simple. The company is now shipping KMF II, Jalbert added.
