EMS protection and NFPA 1999

Angie Shepherd, of NIOSH, explains the importance of wearing emergency medical protective clothing given the fact most firefighter calls are medical related. She recently completed a project to revamp offerings of medical protective clothing, which resulted in the 2008 revision of NFPA 1999.
