The cost of the compressor was $34,350. It replaces an older and less productive compressor that did not provide enough pressure to fill the tanks.

The Hartland Firefighters Association Inc. is made up of active and retired members of the Hartland Fire Department.

It is an auxiliary or support group for the Hartland Fire Department that was formed for the purpose of supplying firefighting equipment, clothing (turnout gear), and emergency medical equipment for the department, as well as mutual support.

It also helps in getting equipment that is not covered under the Hartland village budget.

Throughout the years, the association has raised money through a nickel toss and pull tabs at the Fourth of July celebration, softball tournaments, spaghetti dinners, golf tournaments, calendar sales, pancake breakfasts and more.

In addition to the air compressor, funds raised have given the Hartland Fire Department its first grass fire truck and equipment van, power cot, stair chairs, pulse-ox and a survive-alive house.
