Minute of Strength: Re-Inspiring Firepower part 1 of 3

Firepower was actually designed with firefighters (actually all first responders) in mind. With Firepower we broke down the demands their jobs put on them and created workouts to strengthen them in those planes of movements. Today we’re taking the first exercise on the DVD, the bent over row – designed to simulate anyone performing a movement while taking an athletic stance, like a firefighter pulling hoses – and we’re breaking it down to show the proper way to perform the exercise as well as giving you a few alternate routines. Though the benefit seems to be to build strength in the rowing motion it’s actually to build strength and stability in the core. After this routine Anthony shows you a quick Ropes Gone Wild exercise that that compliments the benefits of the bent over row by further working the core and tying your upper and lower body together.
