The TL2 is made from TOP GRADE Veg-Tanned leather with an exclusive filigree design to commemorate and never forget our fallen brothers and loved ones on 9/11/01. Weighing approximately 55 ounces, it is ergonomically correct and fits comfortably and lower on the head. The inside dome is made of injection molded thermo-plastic, designed for durability. The Impact Cap is closed cell foam (comparable to the foam inside football helmets, designed to take hit after hit). The chinstrap is Nomex Webbing with a standard Postman's slide buckle. Optional chinstrap choices are a quick release style or a combination of both. The earlaps are detachable and made from black Nomex and black fire retardant cotton. The optional sewn-in earlaps are made from the same materials and must be requested, if desired. The suspension liner comes standard with a ratcheting device for easy donning and doffing. The Nape Strap style suspension is an available option. Both are easily removed for cleaning and maintenance. We add a Custom Comfort pad to the front headband for maximum comfort. The NFPA Compliant 3M Reflective Tetrahedrons come in Lime/Yellow, Red/Orange, or White/Silver. The TL2 comes standard with a custom Sam Brown "all leather" ID Shield. A variety of options are available to customize your department.
Choose from: Standard TL-2 style, NY frame & insert, Velcro Passport, Magnetic Passport style, or custom cut & painted! Shields are topped with a brass eagle finial. NFPA Phenix Firefighting Goggles (Optional in California) are standard with helmet. ESS Goggles are also available by request. A D-ring is installed on back brim (also optional) for you to hang your TL2 easily. Your TL-2 comes with your accessory pack which includes: The helmet accessory band, 2 wedges and 1 Garrity light. The Flip Down "Borke Style" Eye Shields are available.
