EFJohnson Subsidiary to Provide Project 25 Compliant Radios and Repeaters
IRVING, Tex – EFJ, Inc. (NASDAQ: EFJI) announced today that its EFJohnson subsidiary has received authorization to proceed with building 17 Joint Incident Site Communications Capability ("JISCC") systems valued at $8.1 million for disaster relief communications. EFJohnson will provide its Project 25 communications equipment to be used by a certain federal agency.

As announced on May 9, 2006, EFJ, Inc received an initial $4 million contract for Project 25 compliant radios and repeaters for disaster relief communications.
