When Detroit hosts the Super Bowl next month, Federal, state and local responders will rely on CoBRA Response Kit systems from Defense Group Inc. to safeguard the attendees, participants and venue.
CoBRA® is the leading emergency management decision support system for FBI Special Agent Bomb Technicians. It is used by thousands of Federal, State and Local First responders nationwide, as well as Military Responders deployed world wide. CoBRA software contains the necessary tools and data to support emergency response involving hazardous chemicals, improvised explosive devices, and weapons of mass destruction. Using CoBRA, responders can quickly determine the correct course of action to take in crisis situations. A CoBRA Response Kit includes CoBRA software loaded on an Itronix® rugged laptop computer with a GPS device, digital camera, printer and scanner, all packed in a readily deployable, hardened case.
Over 900 state and local bomb squads originally received CoBRA Response Kits in 2001 under the auspices of the FBI’s Bomb Data Center.CoBRA software has also served as a pre-planning, training and response tool at other major sports stadiums on the East and West coasts.
