EFJ, Inc. Receives $11.7 Million Systems Order

EFJohnson Selected to Provide Trunked IP25™ Infrastructure System and Project 25 Radios

IRVING, TX - EFJ, Inc. announced today that EFJohnson has been selected by a major systems integrator to provide its Trunked IP25™ Infrastructure System along with Project 25 compliant radios. The order is for a Department of Defense customer in support of the war on terrorism and is valued at $11.7 million.

"In October, I announced a new technology strategy and roadmap that would focus on comprehensive solutions versus hardware products to serve our customers’ expanding communications needs. This significant order is a validation of our transition to a provider of secure wireless systems solutions," said Michael E. Jalbert, chairman and chief executive officer of EFJ, Inc. "The objective of this project is to provide extensive trunked radio voice communications capability in support of daily operations."

The company expects to begin shipping the order in the 4th quarter, Jalbert added.
