Cosmas Introduces Fire Fighting Footwear To North American Market

Patent-Pending MIDSOLEARMOR™ Provides Comfort and Technically Advanced Performance

Hampton, NHCosmas, the Safety Division of Novation S.p.A., Italy has recently introduced a series of structural fire fighting footwear to the North American market.   The TITAN 14” bunker boot, ideal for structural firefighting, and the ATLAS 11” lace/zip boot, perfect for industrial fires, are the new premier “in-novation” series in the Cosmas line of safety footwear.  Drawing on 40 years of Italian footwear design and manufacturing heritage in both the public safety and mountaineering markets, the series is certified to NFPA 1971:2007 edition.

“With the introduction of the TITAN and the ATLAS, Cosmas continues to build on its reputation for superior fit and innovative designs,” explains Brent Merriam, Vice President, Novation North America, Inc.  Based on extensive wear testing all over the US, Cosmas® is quickly gaining a reputation as the best fitting, highest quality, high-performance brand of structural fire fighting footwear available.

Both the TITAN ($325) and the ATLAS ($350) feature the exclusive, patent-pending MidsoleArmor™, a composite puncture plate/ladder shank/midsole combination.  Combining what normally would be three separate pieces into one results in a lighter weight, more flexible boot that is inherently insulating and resistant to heat.  The unique construction is stiff and supportive in the heel and arch area, yet flexible in the forefoot area, allowing the foot to flex naturally.
