e2v, manufacturer of the internationally successful Argus4 range of thermal imaging cameras, has launched their latest and most advanced thermal imaging camera to date, the Argus4 HR320.
The launch took place at the world’s largest fire equipment exhibition, FDIC, Indianapolis, USA on the 10th April 2008.
The Argus4 HR320 is a high-resolution version of the Argus4 camera, offering the familiar, simple-to-operate, configuration of the standard Argus4. It is extremely light, at less than 3lbs, and robust. Its fully automatic operation requires no control or adjustment in use. The camera is light enough to be held in one hand, but rugged enough for the harshest of environments.
The Argus HR320 has a high resolution 320 x 240 pixel detector, high definition LCD screen, X2 and X4 zoom facility and SceneSaveTM image capture for 100 images. It also provides spot and ambient temperature measurements, allowing for accurate assessment of site temperatures, and identification of specific danger points.
Paul Spooner, Product Manager for the Argus range of cameras, comments: “the reception to our new Argus HR320 camera has been very positive. This is our highest resolution camera yet, offering a new level in performance, and I am very pleased to say that firefighters who have seen the camera and its features for themselves, agree.”
e2v engineers have over 30 years experience designing the very best in thermal imaging technology. They were the very first to provide the fire industry with thermal cameras back in the 1980s and now continue to provide the most innovative products to fire and rescue personnel working to save lives and property.
