(Minneapolis – St. Paul, MN) There’s nothing like having the Republic National Convention coming to town to cause a flurry of activity. As the largest ambulance service in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) EMS was sure to play a prominent role during the RNC recently held in the area, and getting their fleet ready was a top priority.
HCMC was in the midst of a total hospital re-identification program, rolling out a new logo in countless applications from signage to business cards, but the ambulances retained the old look. With the RNC approaching, HCMC EMS management was very anxious to remark the fleet so the new identity could be represented.
HCMC called on their longtime graphics supplier, Grafix Shoppe of Eagan, MN for the job. So in a thirty-day period, Grafix Shoppe stripped the entire fleet of 30 ambulances of their old graphics, and produced and applied the new scheme. “The logistics of this job were very challenging, but we were thrilled to have this opportunity,” said Shawn Donovan, Grafix Shoppe sales rep. “It takes about eight labor hours just to strip off the old graphics, let alone apply the new.”
The job was completed in time for the convention, much to the relief of both parties.
