BIO-key Awarded Contract to Deploy Fire Records System in more than 150 Stations in Onondaga County, NY

BIO-key answers the need for a comprehensive records management solution

WAL, N.J. –  BIO-key International, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: BKYI), a leader in finger-based biometric identification and wireless public safety solutions, has been selected  by Onondaga County, New York, including the City of Syracuse, to implement BIO-key’s  FireRMS enterprise-class fire records management system.

BIO-key’s FireRMS system is the most feature rich and robust Fire Records Management System in the industry. FireRMS is completely compliant with the  National Fire Incident Reporting System (NFIRS) 5.0 . FireRMS was designed to meet the time critical  needs of Fire and EMS personnel with  streamlined reporting methods, customizable data field capabilities and increased data collection capability  for first responders.  When fully deployed across Onondaga County, FireRMS will dramatically  improve performance information  for the 150 Fire and EMS stations in the county, thus enabling fire and EMS personnel to provide  more effective safety services to county residents.

“Our decision to choose BIO-key was based on its strong industry experience and understanding of our requirements,” said Kathy McMahon, Supervisor Technical Services for Onondaga County.  “None of BIO-key’s competitors could offer a package that met both our fire and EMS needs.”

“We are thrilled  with Onondaga County’s decision to select to BIO-key  and join our growing base family of Fire customers,” says Anthony Barone, BIO-key’s General Manager for Fire Safety. “Our NFIRS-compliant FireRMS has been developed with our fire customers and is designed to comprehensively  manage all departmental administrative to make front line personnel more effective.

Onondaga County is the most recent U.S. county to implement the BIO-key scalable FireRMS solution across multiple Fire and EMS departments - county-wide solutions increase information sharing  and decrease data input redundancy without compromising  local department autonomy.
