ALBANY, NY - Firefighters from Maine ANG Fire Department in Bangor, ME welcomed the delivery of their BullEx Vehicle Fire Training Prop and Helicopter Fire Training Prop. Both live-fire props feature multiple burn zones that create engine, passenger compartment and fuel spill fires. The portable life-sized helicopter training system features moveable main rotors as well as functional cockpit and cabin doors. The vehicle prop provides 40 million BTU of live propane flames and 2000 pounds of heavy-gauge steel. The firefighters will train on proper hose line advancement and fighting large vehicle fires.
“The National Guard needed heavy-duty training props that would challenge their firefighters’ ability to respond to aviation and vehicular fire emergencies,” said BullEx CEO Ryan O’Donnell. “We designed our live-fire training systems to feature the intense flames, heat and the advanced response technology that the Maine ANG required to provide vital hands-on training.”
The Maine Air National Guard Fire Department is a full-time professional department that provides fire and emergency services to the 101st Air Refueling Wing and the Bangor International Airport in Bangor, Maine.
