Insta-Chain Air Cylinders are uniquely different. The Orange Powder Coating helps retard corrosion, especially in the lip sealing area. The housing clamp and working shaft are Chrome plated rather than zinc to provide better corrosion resistance. Note the black gasket on the mounting studs. The gasket provides sealing to prevent ingress of corrosive road chemicals that can damage the mounting. The black rubber accordion type boot tightly seals around the chromed hex shaft. The boot has a clamp (not shown) that snugly seals it around the shaft to prevent suction from pulling in the road chemicals, thereby protecting the internals of the Air Cylinder for longer service life.

Air Cylinders are available in two models. Model 1038 (shown) has a 6-1/2” long hex shaft, and Model 1037 which has a 3-1/4” long hex shaft.
