SafetyTech Secures Award From FBI For Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR™) Systems

Frederick, MD - In September, SafetyTech International, Inc., a Frederick, Maryland based manufacturer of respiratory protection equipment, received an $874,000 award from the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The competitive bid was awarded to SafetyTech for the purchase of Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR™) systems.

The FBI purchase is part of a pattern of upgrades by government, states and municipalities to better protect the first responder community from the dangers of NBC (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical) and WMD threats.

SafetyTech International, Inc. manufactures in Frederick, MD and is the world's leading supplier of Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPRs™) to U.S. military special operations, international civil defense teams and municipal and Federal SWAT teams. Following the events of 911, the company has seen its technology and products incorporated by an ever increasing number of federal, state and municipal first responders seeking the same level of protection used by their counterparts in the military.
