Please mark you calendar for the 2007 Wildland Urban Interface Conference. IAFC has partnered with Wildland Firefighter magazine, the US Forest Service, the US Department of Interior, the National Association of State Foresters and the Nevada State Fire Chiefs to bring you this conference. The focus will be on issues in Operations, Mitigation & Education and Policy dealing with the Wildland Urban Interface and how it impacts communities across the globe. This year's fire season has already burned 4 million acres in over sixty thousand fires and its not over yet — this is an issue that is not going away. In order to give you and your team the training and education to combat this growing battle, build the Wildland Urban Interface Conference into your budget. This year the conference has refocused on the Wildland Urban Interface and will be held in the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nev. The conference fees range from $300 to $400 for a full conference registration and our host hotel will accommodate the prevailing government rate for all government attendees and a rate of $101 per night plus taxes for other conference attendees.
