3 firefighters hurt in Tenn. restaurant fire

Firefighters worked about two hours to bring the fire under control

The News Sentinel

LOUDON, Tenn. — The cause of a fire that gutted a local barbecue restaurant and sent three firefighters to the hospital for smoke inhalation Tuesday night is still under investigation, officials said Wednesday.

Emergency crews from multiple agencies responded to the fire at the Log Cabin Restaurant, 10058 state Highway 72, about 9 p.m., said Loudon Fire Chief Mike Brubaker.

Firefighters worked about two hours to bring the blaze under control. The fire appears to have started in the rear of the building after the business had closed and employees had left, Brubaker said. Three fi refi ghters treated for smoke inhalation and dehydration have since been released from a local hospital, he added.
