When firefighters arrived on scene they were met with a barrage of rocks and bottles; none of the youths were caught

The Plymouth Herald

KINGS TAMERTON, England — Firefighters from Camels Head were forced to call police after youths pelted them with bottles and stones.

The crew was called to a fire alarm at the Marine Academy school in Trevithick Road, Kings Tamerton at around 5:45 p.m. yesterday.

However, as they arrived they were confronted by a group of youths who attacked the fire engine. Police called to the scene said they were unable to apprehend the youths.

Walter Thomas Little Walter Thomas Little Tuesday, December 25, 2012 8:29:59 AM Here of late, I've noticed a disturbing trend as far as attacks on firefighters. It's almost as if some folks have adopted the mindset from the 1960s and 1970s of it being okay to attack those charged with protecting you. :(
