Firefighters, officers pry drunk woman off of fire truck

After screaming that firefighters were going to rape her, she ran atop the apparatus and refused to move

By FireRescue1 Staff

LORAIN, Ohio — Ohio firefighters and police officers had to pry a drunk woman who had latched onto an apparatus deck gun.

On New Year's Eve, Lorain Fire Department crews had to call police officers to assist them in removing Miranda Lewis, 21, from the top of a truck, according to the Chronicle-Telegram.

Firefighters told officers that Lewis had pounded on the door of the firehouse, asking for help, and when she was let inside, she screamed that the firefighters were going to rape her and ran around.

Officers tried to talk Lewis down off the apparatus, but she refused to let go of the deck gun. Eventually, officers had to pry her off the truck. Lewis was charged with disorderly conduct and was taken to jail.
