Firefighters disarm found grenade

Officials did not say whether the grenade was actually explosive

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. — Anne Arundel County firefighters and the Annapolis Fire Department Bomb Squad were called to the 200 block of 12th Street in Pasadena Sunday afternoon after a passerby found a grenade, fire officials said.

The grenade was found in a grassy area off the roadway just after noon. The bomb squad removed the grenade and disposed of it.

Officials did not say whether the grenade was actually explosive.
