Wis. firefighter injured when oxygen tank explodes

HOLMEN, Wis. — A firefighter is burned when an oxygen tank explodes at the Holmen Fire Department.

Fire officials say the firefighter was filling the tank when there was a spark and it exploded early Thursday.

The firefighter was taken to a La Crosse hospital with burns to the face and hands.

Witnesses say the explosion blew out a window at the fire station and damaged a wall.
