Most departments have front-line apparatus fill a 5-gallon cooler with ice and water at the beginning of each shift. This can always be supplemented with concentrated sports drink mix. The added electrolytes and calories can make the difference in keeping the troops ready for action. Shelf life of the products is good and reduces the need for a lot of storage space for individual bottles.
