RKB Launches Decontamination Equipment Survey

The Responder Knowledge Base, in cooperation with the U.S. Army's Edgewood Chemical Biological Center (ECBC) has designed a short survey on decontamination equipment.

The survey is designed to capture key criteria regarding present and planned decontamination equipment/systems.

The results of the survey will be made available online to RKB users, and will also be utilized in planning sessions for possible development of standards for decontamination equipment. All personnel who have experience in decontamination operations are urged to complete this survey, which can be found online at: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=sLrhOj2ggf6xWVsdM6N6vw_3d_3d

The RKB staff is keenly aware of the blizzard of surveys being directed at the response community on every conceivable subject. However, we are also aware of the critical need for standards and third party certification processes in key equipment areas.

We have done our best to create a brief, targeted survey instrument, and hope that those RKB users with decontamination experience will both invest a few minutes in completing the survey, and also pass the information on to anyone whose input will assist in this effort.

Questions regarding this survey should be directed to the RKB Program Manager at 703-641-2078.
