Mass. fire chief put on unpaid leave for drug charges
Fire Chief David F. Cobb was put on paid leave in July after being arrested for larceny of a drug and obtaining drugs by fraud

WORCESTER, Mass. — The Board of Selectmen voted unanimously to place Fire Chief David F. Cobb on administrative leave without pay, effective immediately, because of pending drug charges in Worcester and Gardner District Courts.
"At this time, I think it's the prudent and appropriate thing to do," Town Administrator John Lebeaux said last night.
