Pa. firefighter dies after responding to CO alarm

DOUGLASSVILLE, Pa. — A Pennsylvania firefighter died Wednesday after experiencing a medical emergency.

Firefighter Robert Stone, 47, of Amity Fire and Rescue, complained of chest pains after returning to the fire station after responding to a residential carbon monoxide alarm on Tuesday.

Firefighter Stone was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment, but went into cardiac arrest and was pronounced dead after undergoing surgery.
